EMFACE TMJ – Natural Focus Dental

A Non-Invasive Approach to Jaw Tension & Muscle Support

Jaw discomfort can sometimes involve more than the teeth or the joint itself. For some patients, the muscles around the jaw are overworked, especially with clenching, grinding, or chronic tension. EMFACE TMJ is a non-invasive treatment designed to support jaw muscle relaxation, comfort, and function.

How It Works

EMFACE TMJ uses targeted muscle stimulation together with radiofrequency energy. The treatment works with key muscles involved in jaw movement, helping support a more relaxed muscle environment while also promoting circulation and tissue comfort.

How Is It Different From a Nightguard?

A nightguard can be very helpful for protecting the teeth from grinding and clenching forces. But the guard itself doesn’t directly work with the jaw muscles. EMFACE TMJ gives us another option when muscle tension appears to be part of the problem.

What About Botox?

Botox and similar neuromodulators work by reducing muscle activity through injection. EMFACE TMJ takes a different, needle-free approach, using energy-based treatment to support muscle relaxation and function without chemically weakening the muscle. Neither approach is right for everyone—the choice depends on the cause of your symptoms and your goals.
It May Be Considered For:

● Jaw tension
● Clenching
● Facial muscle tightness
● Muscle fatigue
● Discomfort with jaw movement
● Grinding-related muscle soreness

Part of a Bigger TMJ Plan

Not every jaw problem comes from the muscles. Depending on your symptoms, we may also evaluate your bite, dental wear, airway, sleep, joint function, and oral habits. Treatment may include a nightguard, airway evaluation, myofunctional therapy, physical therapy, or other care when appropriate.
Protect the teeth. Support the muscles. Improve function.
